Israel officially announced that the ceasefire with Iran has come into effect. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a statement confirming the acceptance of the US proposal for a ceasefire with Iran, but he added that any violation by Iran would be met with a strong response.

Stretching yesterday's upswing, the HSI last leaped by 504 points or 2.1% to 24,193 after midday, with a turnover of HKD188.423 billion. The gains in the three major US index futures also expanded. The DJIA futures last surged by 377 points or 0.88% to 43,278, while the S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures last grew by 0.94% and 1.25%, respectively.
