Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized during his meeting with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in Beijing's Great Hall of the People today (24th) that China-Singapore relations should always be viewed and developed from a strategic and long-term perspective.

He stressed the importance of maintaining the correct course and momentum, and enhancing political mutual trust to serve the development of bilateral relations. China welcomes Singapore's continued deep integration into its development, and both sides should further advance cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative, creating landmark achievements in digital economy, green development, and artificial intelligence, and encourage frequent exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.
