During MWC Shanghai 2025, Zhang Zhiyong, Chairman of CHINA TOWER (00788.HK)  -0.240 (-2.073%)    Short selling $10.51M; Ratio 17.498%   , said that the Group has 2.1 million tower sites for infrastructure, with 5.6 million base stations built in total, an average annual increase of 925,000 base stations and a sharing rate of 85% for newly built towers, equivalent to a reduction of more than 1.22 million towers, a cut in industry investment of over RMB210 billion and a decline in operating costs of over RMB180 billion.

For the air segment, Zhang added that CHINA TOWER has cooperated with low-altitude economy enterprises and satellite internet enterprises.
