Hong Kong stocks opened lower in the morning session. The HSI opened 120 points or 0.5% lower at 23,859. The HSCEI opened 37 points or 0.4% lower at 8,657. The HSTECH opened 30 points or 0.6% lower at 5,261.

Earlier, Wang Xing, Chairman of MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  -4.600 (-3.451%)    Short selling $528.66M; Ratio 14.504%   , reduced his holdings in LI AUTO-W (02015.HK)  -1.500 (-1.441%)    Short selling $70.60M; Ratio 14.020%   for 4 consecutive days. LI AUTO-W responded that MEITUAN-W's holdings were left unaffected. Hence, LI AUTO-W shed 2% to $106.4, while MEITUAN-W slid 0.8% to $137.

XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  -0.800 (-1.487%)    Short selling $299.99M; Ratio 13.458%   ebbed 0.5% to $53.75 as its YU7 will be released at the end of the month, and sample cars have been arriving at stores progressively. For other carmakers, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)  -2.600 (-2.039%)    Short selling $331.99M; Ratio 29.991%   faded 0.5% to $128.4. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK)  -7.200 (-2.350%)    Short selling $145.27M; Ratio 39.239%   opened flat at $310.

JD-SW (09618.HK)  -5.300 (-4.096%)    Short selling $294.34M; Ratio 25.296%   , which will apply for stablecoin licenses in all major currency countries around the world, added 0.4% to $132.
