Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the second China-Central Asia Summit in Astana, according to Chinese state media. The two leaders exchanged views on the current Middle East situation.

Xi expressed deep concern over Israel's military actions against Iran, which have sharply intensified tensions in the Middle East. He opposed any actions that infringe on the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of other countries.

Military conflict is not the solution, and escalating regional tensions do not serve the common interests of the international community, Xi said. All parties should work to de-fuse the conflict briskly to avoid further escalation. China is willing to work with all parties to play a constructive role in restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.
