The 2025 Lujiazui Forum will open today (18th) in Shanghai, according to the Jiefang Daily. This forum is jointly organized by three Chinese financial regulatory bodies, namely the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission, together with the Shanghai Municipal Government.

One of the reasons the market is eyeing the Lujiazui Forum is that central financial regulatory bodies tend to announce major policies in China's financial sector during each forum. To many people, this is an important platform for central financial regulatory bodies and the Shanghai Municipal Government to collaboratively advance the construction of Shanghai as an international financial center.
