A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of Air India, scheduled to fly from Hong Kong to New Delhi today (16th), was forced to return to Hong Kong airport due to suspected technical issues found by the pilot during the flight, Indian media reported. The aircraft safely landed.

According to an aviation tracking website, the flight number involved was AI315. The aircraft took off from Hong Kong airport at around 12 noon and returned safely to Hong Kong airport after flying until 1:18 PM.

Hong Kong’s Fire Services Department received a report at around 1:05 PM, local media also reported. The captain reportedly suspected fuel contamination, and therefore landed the aircraft.
