Invesco has released its mid-2025 investment outlook. David Chao, Global Market Strategist at Invesco Asia Pacific, opined that while the macroeconomic and geopolitical environment in 1H25 was challenging, uncertainty around key global trends and macroeconomic conditions is now fading away.

It is possible that the US economic slowdown will impact global growth, but constructive solutions to trade tensions and potential benefits from regulatory easing are expected to continue fortifying market resilience, Chao emphasized.

Regarding Asia, Chao predicted growth to be below trend, though many central banks in the region have already begun to ease monetary policy, which should shore up economic growth and markets.

Chao also anticipated China's further favorable measures aimed at boosting consumption and stabilizing the real estate market to mitigate the adverse effects of tariffs.
