Although CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK)  +0.320 (+2.516%)    Short selling $96.00M; Ratio 28.785%   's net profit for FY25 fell by 9% YoY, it still exceeded the market expectation by 7%, reflecting the positive contribution of strong gold prices to its GPM, BOCI wrote in its research report.

Meanwhile, the group's recent same-store sales have showed signs of recovery, indicating that consumers are more willing to purchase gold in the current cycle and the group's strategies (offering more fixed-price gold products and focusing on store sales efficiency) have worked out.
