Regarding the issue of relocating employees from satellite casinos, Macau Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai said yesterday (15th) that officials from the Administration and Justice Bureau and the Economy and Finance Bureau had previously explained the follow-up measures in detail to the public.

Currently, there are about 5,600 local employees in satellite casinos. Of which, approximately 4,800 are hired and dispatched by gaming concessionaires to satellite casinos. The Macau government required gaming concessionaires to properly manage their work arrangements to ensure their continued employment.

As for the impact of the closure of satellite casinos on the local GDP, Sam responded that the Macau government assessed that the impact would not be significant, and more importantly, the government's handling of the satellite casino issue is to ensure that Macau's gaming industry develops in a healthy and orderly manner in accordance with the law.
