CAAM: CN May Auto Sales Climb 11.2% YoY, or 3.7% MoM

Mainland China's auto sales numbered 2.686 million units in May, marking a 3.7% MoM upswing and an 11.2% YoY increase, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) data showed. Total auto sales for 5M25 numbered 12.748 million units, representing a YoY rise of 10.9%.

New energy vehicle (NEV) sales in May were 1.307 million units, notching a YoY growth of 36.9%, accounting for 48.7% of total new car sales, data revealed. NEV sales for 5M25 hit 5.608 million units, up 44% YoY, representing 44% of total sales.
