ByteDance’s Doubao foundation model 1.6 was officially released, featuring three models: Doubao-Seed-1.6-thinking, Doubao-Seed-1.6, and Doubao-Seed-1.6-flash.

Taking the thinking model as an example, it enhances reasoning capabilities and supports multimodal inputs. Doubao-Seed-1.6 supports three thinking modes: on, off, and auto.

ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo stated at a conference that it’s essential to promote good technology and enable deep customer adoption to maintain the company’s technological competitiveness.
