The HSI continued to rise 79 points or 0.3% to 24,261 at midday, hovering around a two-and-a-half-month high. The HSCEI climbed 29 points or 0.3% to 8,809. The HSTECH dipped 17 points or 0.3% to 5,415. The total market turnover at midday amounted to HKD127.01 billion.

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)  +5.200 (+3.835%)    Short selling $1.71B; Ratio 42.294%   underwent a stock split of "one into three" on its ex-rights day. Its stock price gained 1% to HKD132.
