The American coffee chain Starbucks (SBUX.US)      announced on its WeChat account in China that starting tomorrow (10th), it will reduce the prices of more than ten non-coffee iced beverages, including Frappuccino and tea latte, by an average of around RMB 5, with the minimum price per cup at RMB 23.

Not only have Luckin Coffee (LKNCY.US)      and Cotti lowered their beverage prices to as low as RMB9.9 or RMB8.9, but the entry of JD-SW (09618.HK)  -0.300 (-0.241%)    Short selling $742.34M; Ratio 28.281%   and BABA-W (09988.HK)  +1.100 (+1.000%)    Short selling $918.10M; Ratio 14.959%   has also intensified competition in the food delivery market, according to a report by Reuters.
