Nvidia (NVDA.US)      CEO Jensen Huang stated that Chinese AI competitors are filling the gap left by American companies exiting the Chinese market, making China's technology increasingly powerful, foreign media reported.

The US export restrictions have effectively barred Nvidia from entering the Chinese chip market, leading the company to anticipate a loss of US$8 billion in sales this quarter.

The CEO opined that Chinese competitors are evolving, enhancing their capabilities every year, and drastically ramping up their production. Huawei, which has been blacklisted by the US government, has become quite strong.

Under the new US government regulations, Nvidia can no longer ship the H20 chips designed for the Chinese market to China.
