The EU requested major EU companies and CEOs to provide detailed plans of their investments in the US, Reuters quoted sources as saying.

Members of BusinessEurope received a questionnaire from the European Commission on Monday (26th) requesting information on upcoming US investments and instructing them to respond promptly, according to the report.

The European Round Table for Industry was also asked to provide investment plans for the next 5 years, with a note that the request came directly from Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

BusinessEurope has confirmed receiving the request to assist in collecting data on European investments in the US, highlighting the importance of EU-US economic ties, the report added.
