COUNTRY GARDEN (02007.HK)  +0.005 (+1.299%)    Short selling $88.20K; Ratio 2.538%   's offshore debt restructuring plan encountered obstacles in gaining support from bank creditors, Bloomberg quoted sources as saying.

A key group of bank creditors, known as the coordinating committee, said that COUNTRY GARDEN and the banks have yet to reach an agreement on a US$178 million transaction plan for the return of collateral. If COUNTRY GARDEN cannot accept some of the demands, it will be 'a deal breaker.'

Considering the scale of the debt and the number of creditors, the High Court judge postponed the Group's winding-up petition hearing to 11 August, expressing a desire to see 'positive and useful progress' in the next hearing.
