The EU expressed its willingness to accelerate trade negotiations with the US to shun a transatlantic trade war, indicating a more amicable approach from both sides.

Overnight (26th), US stock markets were closed for a holiday. This morning (27th) during the Asian trading session, US stock futures escalated, with DJIA futures up 392 points or 0.94% to 42,066; S&P 500 futures up 1.04% to 5,877.75; and Nasdaq futures up 1.19% to 21,224.75.
