Chief Executive John Lee attended the launch ceremony of 'Shopping in China - 2025 Greater Bay Area Consumption Season' (literal translation of "購在中國-2025大灣區消費季") last Saturday (24th).

In his speech, Lee said that Hong Kong will be transformed into a regional cross-border e-commerce logistics distribution center to promote digital trade development.

The Hong Kong government will continue to accelerate industrial digital transformation, strengthen construction of digital infrastructure, study the promotion of the data trading ecosystem and use the Greater Bay Area as a pilot to explore arrangements for facilitating cross-border data flow, advancing the integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy, Lee added.
