US President Donald Trump agreed to extend the deadline for trade negotiations with the EU till July 9, foreign media reported.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told Trump that both parties will hold rapid talks to see if some kind of agreement can be reached.

Earlier, von der Leyen had posted on social media platform X that the EU is poised to conduct swift trade negotiations with the US but requires more time to reach an agreement. She also mentioned having a good phone conversation with Trump.
