The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government has issued the "Special Action Plan to Boost Consumption in Shanghai", aiming to strengthen and expand the trade-in program for consumer goods.

The special plan will involve promoting automobile consumption by implementing both the national subsidy for scrapping and upgrading vehicles and Shanghai's own subsidy policy for car replacement and upgrades.

It will also carry out the national subsidy policy for home appliance trade-ins, introduce new purchase subsidies for digital products such as handsets, tablets, and smartwatches (bands), and further support green consumption in home appliances, home furnishings, and home renovations.
