According to CICC's research report, LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK)  -5.100 (-8.127%)    Short selling $47.55M; Ratio 6.724%   saw its 1Q25 revenue surge by 1.87 times, mainly driven by a 1.62-fold increase in sales volume and an optimized product mix.

Thanks to enhanced economies of scale and robust profitability from external strategic partnerships, LEAPMOTOR's GPM beat market expectations. Its net profit for the period was also in line with market forecasts.

CICC expected LEAPMOTOR's 2Q sales to break through 130,000 vehicles and reach a record high. The broker kept an Outperform rating on the carmaker and, considering the valuation boost from smart driving technology and an upward vehicle model cycle, raised its target price by 46% to HKD80.
