Zhong Shanshan, Chairman of NONGFU SPRING (09633.HK)  -0.150 (-0.409%)    Short selling $131.72M; Ratio 34.523%   , responded to sensitive topics such as results fluctuations, product strategy and outsourcing controversies at the shareholders meeting, according to The Paper.

Regarding recent rumors about outsourcing NONGFU SPRING's products, Zhong said at the meeting that, while the Company does not oppose OEM, all current products of NONGFU SPRING cannot be outsourced. He explained that, in the industrial system, OEM is a common collaborative method.

However, for NONGFU SPRING, OEM is almost fundamentally unfeasible. The Company is highly dependent on water sources, and its production system is highly customized, with extremely complex and standardized processes behind everything ranging from pipeline installation, raw water treatment and filling equipment to the labeling of each bottle.
