(literal translation of "支付寶(杭州)信息技術有限公司") has recently applied to register several "碰友圈" (literally translated as "Tap-Friend-Circle") trademarks, with international classifications including website services, communication services, and financial property management, Chinese media reported. The trademark applications are currently waiting for substantive examination.

Alipay (Hangzhou) Information Technology was established in July 2016 with a registered capital of RMB100 million. It is wholly owned by Ant Group Co., Ltd. (literal translation of "螞蟻科技集團股份有限公司").
