HISENSE HA (00921.HK)  -0.300 (-1.109%)    Short selling $2.21M; Ratio 9.572%   invited Yin Bitong, former senior vice president of MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK)  -0.250 (-0.304%)    Short selling $12.37M; Ratio 10.428%   and former president of the air conditioning division, to become president of Hisense Air Industry (Chou) (literal translation of "海信空氣產業(籌)"), effective 19 May, according to Chinese media. Hisense Air Industry is responsible for air-conditioning-related industries and brands within the group.

XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  -1.450 (-2.663%)    Short selling $589.99M; Ratio 16.781%   saw its share for the domestic air-conditioning market rise rapidly, jumping to fourth place in domestic online air-conditioning market in terms of sales last year, according to analysis. Previously, Midea, Gree, Haier and Hisense ranked among the top four in the overall domestic air-conditioning market.
