During US President Donald Trump's Middle East visit, a series of AI-related agreements were sealed, including the United Arab Emirates' purchase of over one million advanced chips from Nvidia (NVDA.US)      .

According to Bloomberg, these agreements have ignited internal disagreements within the White House, with concerns that the chips might flow into China.

Some senior White House officials are reportedly attempting to slow down these transactions, worried that the US has not taken sufficient measures to prevent American chips shipped to Gulf countries from ultimately flowing into China.

Although the agreements with the UAE and Saudi Arabia include provisions prohibiting Chinese companies from acquiring these chips, officials believed that these agreements should not be announced without legally binding clauses.

Beyond security issues related to China, some US officials also question whether it is wise to ship large quantities of chips outside the US, fearing it could affect America's dominance in the AI field.
