Sinopec reported that a shale gas exploratory well in the Sichuan Basin, with a vertical depth exceeding 5,300 meters, has set a new record for shale gas well depth in the mainland, reported CCTV.

This provides valuable experience for ultra-deep shale gas exploration in the region.
