Xia Baolong, Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, continued his visit in Macau and met with Tai Kin Ip, Macau's Secretary for Economy and Finance, according to Radio Macau (TDM).

Tai told reporters after the meeting that Xia had commented on the current international development landscape, and, in response to the rise of US unilateralism and trade protectionism, emphasized that entrepreneurs and the business community in Hong Kong and Macau have to stand united with Mainland China. In addition, he revealed Xia's encouragement for everyone to embrace competition, as it is the only way to achieve development.
