Hong Kong bourse opened higher in the morning after China and the US reached a consensus on trade issues and said they will announce a joint statement. Meanwhile, mainland's inflation sank 0.1% YoY as expected. The HSI opened up 316 points or 1.4% at 23,183. The HSCEI added 120 points or 1.4% to 8,429. The HSTECH gained 111 points or 2.2% to 5,291.

Export-related stocks thrived. TECHTRONIC IND (00669.HK)  +0.950 (+1.031%)    Short selling $86.14M; Ratio 17.023%   opened 3.9% higher. SHENZHOU INTL (02313.HK)  -0.900 (-1.513%)    Short selling $45.04M; Ratio 11.713%   and MINTH GROUP (00425.HK)  -0.200 (-1.000%)    Short selling $12.49M; Ratio 12.888%   rallied 3.1% and 3%, respectively. Home appliance maker HAIER SMARTHOME (06690.HK)  -0.450 (-1.822%)    Short selling $26.56M; Ratio 8.370%   jumped up 3.3%.
