Hong Kong bourse opened higher, with the HSI up 80 points or 0.4% at 22,856, the HSCEI up 19 points or 0.2% at 8,320, and the HSTECH down 3 points or 0.1% at 5,225. The DJIA rose 254 points or 0.6% overnight, while the Nasdaq climbed 1.1%.

SMIC (00981.HK)  -2.150 (-4.762%)    Short selling $380.31M; Ratio 4.469%   reported 1Q25 revenue growth below guidance, with 2Q25 revenue guidance down 4%-6% QoQ, and its shares opened 5.9% lower.
