CATL (300750.SZ)  +1.410 (+0.577%)   passed its listing hearing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx). The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), SINOPEC CORP (00386.HK)  +0.010 (+0.252%)    Short selling $127.25M; Ratio 22.350%   , and others are considering participating in CATL’s Hong Kong IPO, with investments potentially whopping hundreds of millions of USD, Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter. Hillhouse Investment is also weighing participating.

CATL is also in discussions with entities like the Kuwait Investment Authority, sources divulged. Some firms may acquire stakes as cornerstone investors, while others could make subscription during the regular offering.
