HSBC saw its London share price climb by 2.6% to rest at GBX855.6, equivalent to HKD89.04, 0.8% above Hong Kong’s previous close of HKD88.35 yesterday (29th). The stock hit an intraday high of GBX862, or HKD89.7.

The bank announced its first-quarter results for the period ending March 31, 2025 at noon, reporting a 25% YoY decline in reported PBT to USD9.484 billion, surpassing expectations from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. EPS was USD39 cents, vs USD54 cents in the same period of last year.
