Ola Kallenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz, said that Mercedes-Benz is urging the EU to create a fair competition environment for China-made EVs in Europe, believing that imposing pure tariff measures is only the crudest of tactics, according to foreign media.

Kallenius added the EU needs to seek a win-win situation, and hoped that the EU and China could reach an agreement on a fair solution, believing that the two sides are currently in discussions. Historically, a fully competitive economy would be the most innovative.
