US President Donald Trump revealed that tariffs on imported semiconductors will be announced next week, which will offer some flexibility to certain semiconductor companies.

Trump had mentioned earlier that no tariff exemptions were announced last Friday (11th), the products in question still need to pay a 20% fentanyl tariff, while this tariff is simply categorized under a different "category", and Washington will review semiconductors and the entire electronics supply chain in the upcoming national security tariff investigation.
