Forbes released its latest global billionaires list, featuring a record 3,028 billionaires - the highest number since the list began in 1987 - with a total wealth reaching an unprecedented USD16.1 trillion.

Tesla (TSLA.US)      CEO Elon Musk surpassed LVMH Group CEO Bernard Arnault to reclaim the title of the world’s richest person, with his net worth surging 75% to USD342 billion. Following closely behind are Meta (META.US)      founder Mark Zuckerberg with USD216 billion and Amazon (AMZN.US)      founder Jeff Bezos with USD215 billion.

China ranked second globally in the number of billionaires, with 450 individuals on the list, up from 406 last year. ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming topped the chart as China’s richest person with a fortune of USD65.5 billion, followed by NONGFU SPRING (09633.HK)  +0.250 (+0.698%)    Short selling $44.03M; Ratio 39.047%   founder Zhong Shanshan with USD57.7 billion, TENCENT (00700.HK)  +10.600 (+2.221%)    Short selling $629.30M; Ratio 9.772%   founder Ma Huateng with USD56.2 billion, and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  +3.150 (+6.306%)    Short selling $1.61B; Ratio 21.944%   founder Lei Jun with USD43.5 billion.

Additionally, Hong Kong’s richest person, CK Group founder Li Ka-shing, had a net worth of USD38.9 billion.
