Huang Yiping, a member of the People’s Bank of China’s Monetary Policy Committee, stated during the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan that macro policies are capable of addressing cyclical issues, while structural challenges can be resolved in the future, Reuters reported.

He believed that mainland China still has immense macro policy room to support the economy. Additionally, he emphasized that income and confidence are pivotal to boosting consumer demand, and beyond recently introduced policy measures, further reform initiatives are needed to galvanize consumption.
