BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)  +0.900 (+0.765%)    Short selling $1.20B; Ratio 25.432%   officially released its “God's Eye” high-end intelligent driving system, which will cover all car models, including popular and mid-range and high-end car models ranging from RMB100,000 to RMB200,000, according to a research report released by CMS.

The system will obviously enhance the competitiveness of its products, which is expected to boost sales and promote the adoption of intelligent driving technology in China, and is described as a “prelude to a nationwide intelligent driving competition”. This is expected to deal a blow to the JV companies and the technologically backward industry.

However, CMS believed that the market has overreacted to BYD's smart driving strategy, paired with the profit-taking from the recent strong uptrend in automakers.

In CMS view, the industry fundamentals remain intact, and investors who are considering medium- to long-term investments can bottom fish. CMS stayed bullish about Geely, Xiaopeng and BYD, which have posted an upsurge in sales volume and smart driving in 2025.

In terms of parts, CMS suggested focusing on BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK)  -0.420 (-1.054%)    Short selling $323.37M; Ratio 20.883%   , as well as smart-driving chip suppliers HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK)  +0.210 (+2.665%)    Short selling $689.20M; Ratio 17.125%   and BLACK SESAME (02533.HK)  +0.400 (+2.102%)    Short selling $8.18M; Ratio 2.678%   ; and for laser radar, investors may look at Hesai (HSAI.US)      and ROBOSENSE (02498.HK)  +0.540 (+1.398%)    Short selling $10.58M; Ratio 2.289%   .
