After market closed on 21 February (Friday), the Hang Seng Indexes Company will announce the results of its semi-annual review of the Hang Seng family of indices (the deadline for the review and inspection is 31 December 2024), which involves the major flagship indexes of Hong Kong stocks, such as the HSI, HSCEI and HSTECH, as well as the Hang Seng Composite Index (HSCI), which is closely related to the scope of investment for Southbound Trading of Stock Connects, CICC released a research report saying.

Based on the existing available public data, CICC estimated that NIO-SW (09866.HK)  +0.350 (+1.304%)    Short selling $10.38M; Ratio 15.694%   , JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK)  +0.340 (+2.833%)    Short selling $2.85M; Ratio 5.100%   , INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK)  +2.000 (+2.535%)    Short selling $67.58M; Ratio 9.305%   and POP MART (09992.HK)  +2.600 (+1.065%)    Short selling $255.74M; Ratio 10.446%   are among the top potential candidates for inclusion.

Based on the HSI adjustment methodology and the understanding and validation of the non-quantitative adjustment criteria through the results of many previous actual adjustments, the broker anticipated that BANKCOMM (03328.HK)  +0.170 (+2.319%)    Short selling $26.19M; Ratio 16.120%   , ZTO EXPRESS-W (02057.HK)  +2.000 (+1.481%)    Short selling $4.81M; Ratio 8.504%   , SWIREPROPERTIES (01972.HK)  +0.100 (+0.533%)    Short selling $1.11M; Ratio 15.353%   , NIO-SW, JD LOGISTICS, INNOVENT BIO , BEIGENE (06160.HK)  +3.900 (+2.468%)    Short selling $125.05M; Ratio 20.535%   and others are ranked at the top of the HSI list, and have the potential to become candidates for inclusion.
