Jointly developed by SHK PPT (00016.HK)  +1.100 (+0.800%)    Short selling $130.21M; Ratio 34.161%   , Veolia and CITIC Pacific, the solar farm at South East New Territories Landfill held a groundbreaking ceremony last Friday (1 Nov), and is targeted to start generating green electricity in 1H25.

It is estimated to supply 1.2 million kWh of green electricity annually, which can power approx. 360 households throughout the year, making it the first privately funded solar farm on a landfill in Hong Kong.

In addition to providing civil and builder's works, SHK PPT also arranged for its data center operator, SUNEVISION (01686.HK)  +0.140 (+2.269%)    Short selling $9.07M; Ratio 22.952%   , to acquire Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) linked to the above solar farm, and the solar power generated from the solar farm will be sold to CLP HOLDINGS (00002.HK)  +1.150 (+1.516%)    Short selling $54.35M; Ratio 16.354%   under the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Scheme.
