Temasek said it agreed to sell LNG trader, Pavilion Energy, to Shell and believed Shell is well positioned to drive growth in Pavilion Energy's business and strengthen its global LNG hub in Singapore. The transaction will enable Shell to participate in the LNG trading business in Europe and Singapore. The purchase price was not disclosed.Pavilion Energy was established in 2013 to capture Asia's LNG demand and support the energy transition. The company signed contracts with Chevron, BP and QatarEnergy to supply approximately 6.5 million tonnes of gas per year. It also purchased LNG from US LNG facilities Corpus Christi Liquefaction, Freeport LNG and Cameron LNG.
