Chinese media reported that at a conference, CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK)  -0.050 (-1.163%)    Short selling $16.17M; Ratio 6.854%   , CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -0.900 (-1.224%)    Short selling $252.49M; Ratio 11.856%   , CHINA UNICOM (600050.SH)  0.000 (0.000%)   , and China Broadnet jointly announced the launch of the commercial promotion of 5G cross-network roaming, allowing stronger 5G coverage for remote areas. Without changing cards or numbers, when the operator that the user uses does not have 5G network coverage, the mobile phone can automatically switch to using the 5G network of other operators.

5G cross-network roaming is of great significance in accelerating 5G network coverage, especially in improving network coverage in remote and rural areas, because the base stations in these regions are not so densely packed, and the signal may be weak due to insufficient coverage.
