Foreign media reported that the relevant mainland authorities are considering the purchase of unsold housing stock by local governments, involving millions of units, but the news is yet to be officially confirmed. Meanwhile, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Lin'an District, Hangzhou announced the acquisition of some commercial housing units within the district for use as public rental housing.

Chinese property stocks continue to be sought after, SHIMAO GROUP (00813.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)   rallied for the fifth day in a row. It opened 14.15% higher today and peaked at $1.33, a new high since August last year. It now trades at $1.22, spiking 15.09%, with 241 million shares traded, involving $298 million.

CIFI HOLD GP (00884.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)    Short selling $415.16K; Ratio 0.599%   opened 9.21% higher today and topped at $0.49, a new high since September last year. It trades now at $0.47, rocketing 23.68%. KWG GROUP (01813.HK)  -0.025 (-6.024%)   opened 5.19% higher today, reaching a high at $0.48, a new one since February this year. It stands now at $0.465, surging 20.78%.

FANTASIA (01777.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)   opened flat today and reached $0.064, a new high since December last year. It anchors now at $0.061, soaring 17.31%. KAISA GROUP (01638.HK)  +0.003 (+1.987%)   opened flat today and trades at $0.187, spiking 19.87%. This is currently the day high and is a new high since January this year.

AGILE GROUP (03383.HK)  -0.020 (-3.279%)    Short selling $942.58K; Ratio 1.812%   , responding to a debt default, said it will work hard to push forward with guaranteeing delivery. It opened 4.92% higher today and topped at $0.72. It now stands at $0.7, hiking 14.75%, with 88.963 million shares traded, involving $59.6215 million in capital.
