Tesla (TSLA.US)      has reduced its prices in the US and mainland China. On Friday (19 Apr), its official website showed that the prices of Model Y, X and S in the US were reduced by about US$2,000. The price of Model Y basic version was lowered from US$44,990 to US$42,990, while that of Model S and X was dropped to US$72,990 and US$77,990 respectively.

The news of the price cuts didn't boost Tesla's stock performance, which closed down 1.9% at US$147.05 in the US on Friday. Tesla's share price has crashed more than 40% since the beginning of the year.

Tesla's official website in mainland China also showed that the automaker started to reduce its prices yesterday (21 Apr), involving all versions of Model 3, Y, S and X. Among them, the price of Model 3 renewed version was reduced to RMB231,900, down 5.7%, while that of Model Y, S and X was decreased to RMB249,900, RMB684,900 and RMB724,900 respectively.
