Capital expenditures totalled US$325 million in 4Q23, including US$109 million for construction, development and maintenance activities in Macau.

Robert Goldstein, chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands, the controlling shareholder of Sands China, said the quarterly results were good. He said EBITDA for the quarter could have increased by US$40 million if the projected win rate for the rolling segment is achieved. Only a year after Covid closed in Macau, EBITDA has continued to grow from about US$400 million in 1Q23, and the expectation is that gaming and non-gaming revenues will both continue to grow, boosting the market as a whole.

Goldstein expected the gaming portion of the company's business to follow the same path as Singapore and accelerate this year.
