German automaker Mercedes-Benz said it reached an agreement with BMW on a joint venture to operate a high-power vehicle charging network in China.Mercedes-Benz said in a statement that it will set up at least 1,000 high-power charging stations in China by the end of 2026, with a total of about 7,000 charging piles. The first charging stations are planned to start operating next year and will be located in areas with high EV sales.
