Ernst & Young said that in 1-3Q23, there were a total of 968 IPOs globally, with US$101.2 billion in capital raised, a 5% and 32% decrease YoY. Of which, the number of IPOs in emerging markets and the amount of capital raised accounted for 77% and 75% of the global IPOs, respectively.

In addition to the more prosperous markets of Indonesia, Malaysia and India, Turkey and Romania are also new popular IPO arenas. The Greater China region continued to lead the world in terms of IPOs, with the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange ranking first and second in terms of capital raised, amounting to US$8.928 billion and US$6.536 billion, respectively.
