Peter Wong, Deputy Chairman of HSBC, said next year will be the world of speculators, as the UK and the EU have to start negotiating the Brexit procedures, but many Euro zone governments will hold elections next year, so the negotiation might not be a plain sailing.
Wong also believed the Belt and Road initiative should bring growth to other Asia-Pacific countries, and said the highlight next year will be the economy in Asia-Pacific regions. However, if there are trade wars between the US and China, he believed that China will take "revenge measures", so he urged investors to be careful and cautious.
