TENCENT Has Launched or About to Launch 40+ Global E-Wallets

Tencent's Vice President of Financial Technology, Daniel Hong, recently mentioned that an increasing number of users wish to use their familiar domestic e-wallets for payment transactions while traveling or working abroad. To address this, TENCENT (00700.HK) continues to expand its QR code payment network. On one hand, it collaborates with acquiring institutions in various countries and regions, enabling WeChat users to directly scan and pay in popular consumer scenarios across 74 countries and regions. On the other, Tencent is actively participating in the construction of a unified cross-border QR code gateway, opening up a network of tens of millions of merchants in mainland China, making it more convenient for foreigners to consume in China.
