The prices of gold jewelry from domestic brands in Mainland China have seen an upsurge today (12th), with most brands crossing above the RMB1,300 per gram mark, Chinese news broke. Some leading brands have quoted prices over RMB1,310 per gram, setting a new record for single item prices. Among them, CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK) has set its gold jewelry price at RMB1,313 per gram, up RMB5 per gram from the previous day; Lukfook Jewelery has followed suit, raising its price to RMB1,311 per gram, up RMB1 per gram from the previous day; and CHOW SANG SANG (00116.HK) quoted RMB1,309 per gram, up slightly by RMB1 per gram from the previous day.
