Hong Kong stocks opened higher this morning (12th). The HSI opened 58 points higher before its gains expanded in the morning session. It once reclaimed the 27,000 mark, and once elevated 319 points to a high of 27,016. The index inched up 193 points or 0.7% to last at 26,890, with a turnover of around $125.4 billion.

The A-/ H-shares of photovoltaic stocks plunged. GCL TECH (03800.HK) opened flat before tumbling in the morning session, and bottomed at $1.28. It last printed at $1.29, down 9.15%, with a trading volume of 1.147 billion shares, surpassing yesterday's total volume, and a turnover of $1.521 billion.

Leading photovoltaic A-share LONGI GREEN ENERGY (601012.SH) closed down 8.5% at RMB20.54 near midday. Tongwei sank 8.5% to RMB24.46, while HONGYUAN GREEN ENERGY (603185.SH) stopped its decline. CSI (688472.SH) plummeted over 16%, while SOLAX POWER (688717.SH) dived over 10%. TRINA SOLAR (688599.SH) descended over 8%.

In addition, wind power equipment stock GOLDWIND (02208.HK) last printed at $12.41, down 4.76%, with a turnover of $121 million.
